BOWEN TECHNIQUE
Do you suffer muscular pain?
Originally developed in Australia by Tom Bowen in the 1940s, the Bowen Technique is a gentle, non-invasive, remedial therapy that enables the body to correct problems and restore its structural integrity/alignment without the use of massage, manipulation or force.

About the treatment…
During the subtle, relaxing Bowen treatment, the practitioner makes gentle rolling moves on precise points of the body, which aim to disturb the muscles, soft tissue and energy within the body. These are interspersed with periods of rest allowing the body to assimilate the moves that have been performed. The rest periods give the body time to respond and make the subtle adjustments which help to relieve tension and reduce pain, promoting healing and recovery of energy.
On the initial session a full consultation is completed and your first treatment given. A follow up treatment is given 7 to 10 days later to see how you have responded and to ascertain what treatment programme would be beneficial for you. All subsequent treatments are 45 to 60 minutes. Effects are surprisingly strong given the gentle nature or the work itself, sometimes only 2 or 3 sessions at weekly intervals may bring lasting relief, although further treatments may be required for chronic conditions.
Treatments are generally considered safe and effective for all ages and most of the work may be performed through light clothing (T-shirt, leggings) or directly onto skin.
