HATHA YOGA
Hatha Yoga is the best-known and most popular form of Yoga in the West. This type of Yoga uses physical postures (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama) and Meditation to achieve better health, as well as spirituality. Hatha means ‘balance’, reflecting the balance of mind and body: a calm mind produces regular breathing and a relaxed body. Postures are performed slowly and deliberately, and are co-ordinated with the breathing.
