PHYTOTHERAPY
In Phytotherapy - also known as Herbal Medicine - plants are used to help the body to heal itself. Phytotherapy is based on the oldest system of medicine: 100 years ago, most drugs were plant-based - and even today, many communities around the world use plants as their main source of medicines. Today, Phytotherapy applies modern research and the highest professional standards to the use of natural medicines that have stood the test of centuries. The main difference between modern medicine and herbal medicine is that herbal medicine - or Phytotherapy - is based on the plant as it is found
in nature.
Recent legislation by the EEC ensures that all herbal practitioners must have recognised medical training before being allowed to practice, regulating and raising the standard of the profession across the whole of Europe.
