Most smokers want to stop smoking. What usually stops them from trying is the fear that they won’t be able to do it, that it will be too difficult or that they won’t enjoy life without cigarettes.

Helen Grant, Hypno-psychotherapist, offers focused and integrated smoking cessation therapy which boosts self-esteem, giving smokers the confidence to quit for good. Using an integrated approach which combines aspects of psychotherapy and counselling with powerful hypnotherapy Helen tackles these fears in a highly supportive and relaxed manner.

Helen says ‘Smokers don’t tend to realise just how quickly and easily they can stop smoking and they are often surprised at the tremendous sense of freedom they feel when they leave the burden of smoking behind. If anything ex-smokers usually find that they are more relaxed after quitting; contrary to popular opinion smoking does not relax you - although smokers may have come to think it does. In fact nicotine is a very toxic and powerful stimulant. I help smokers rid themselves of such beliefs and learn much more effective ways to relax without relying on nicotine.’

Stopping smoking does not have to mean putting on weight either. Helen builds powerful suggestions into the session to address concerns about weight gain.
How does it work?

In the one-off session Helen first explores the client’s individual smoking history and any emotional issues behind their smoking. Some of the myths about smoking are discussed and finally in a deep hypnotherapy session Helen uses highly effective smoking cessation techniques to help clients quit for good. Each session is tailored to the particular requirements of individual clients. Helen also gives useful tips to clients to be used outside the therapy session in addition to teaching self hypnosis and relaxation strategies.

When is the therapy available?
Helen Grant offers Break The Smoking Habit - For Life at 44 Wellington Square on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.30-1.30 p.m., and also on Wednesday evenings from 6.30-8 p.m.

Prices
£65 for the one-off, one-and-a half hour session
£45 for a 50-minute session (you may need three weekly sessions to complete the programme if you choose shorter sessions)
